Tanner’s first taste of software development was writing programs for his TI-84 calculator, and his appetite for engineering was whetted by his high school robotics team. In college, he studied both by majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Computer Science and in Mathematics. He graduated from Brigham Young University in April of 2018.
Aside from his schooling, Tanner worked two summer internships at Embedded Logix Inc. in Michigan and worked part-time as a teaching assistant for an introductory computations class at BYU. He also worked as a computer programmer for BYU Alumni and University Relations where he built and maintained several websites according to the organizations’ needs. He knows C, C++, Java, and Visual Basic, is familiar with several web languages, and is working to deepen his LabVIEW experience.
Tanner enjoys rock climbing, software emulation, strategy board games and sports.
